How Gary Coleman Lost His Fortune
Don't Keep All Your Eggs In One Basket
I think we can all agree that Gary Coleman made a fortune as a star on Different
Strokes (at one point making over $70,000/episode). I think we can also agree
that Gary Coleman has lost a fortune over the years (now starring in commercials
for a cash advance company with his tag line "Pay your bills on time
and everyone will love you"). While nobody, except for Gary, can identify
exactly how he lost his fortune, we can certainly make the assumption that
he did not properly allocate his money. This is why this month's feature
topic is on the strategy of Asset Allocation. Asset Allocation - also known
as diversification - is the investment strategy that spreads your assets
across several different investment styles and asset classes. The objective
is to reduce long-term risk and capture potential profits across various
asset classes.
